New Year Day Eve 2018

Image
It was raining. Not easy to keep up the spirit. We went to the favorite location where Ms Evil likes to go for her hideout, Steakout . She had steak, while I had fish. :/  But we shared our food. We got a necklace from a lucky draw, intended to pass to Tandoori as her birthday gift. After the dinner, it was raining heavily. But we still went ahead to see the fireworks. She din't back down from her promise. She had a hard time getting used to the crowd and will get dizzy. We finally rested in the food court in Marina Square to have a view on the fireworks. It reminded me of the time I spent with my best friend during her final year.  Here is the video clip:  After the fireworks, I cried out, "Happy New Year" to the folks who were watching there with us.  We went back to AMK coffee shop, and had some supper before departing for home in NR1. Expensive bus ride if you ask me, but it was the only bus at that time...

Date at Chomp Chomp Food Centre

We had zichar at Chomp Chomp Food Centre on 27 December, which was about 2 days past Christmas. What is fantastic there is the dinosaur sugar cane juice. I said it helped for those who have late nights and cannot sleep well. Great replenishment on sugar and other minerals. Later on, we proceeded to MyVillage.sg mall nearby to have a cup of coffee.

National Stadium is actually quite chilling!

We went to National Stadium at night. There was slight drizzling but it turn to cool weather later on. What I like of that place is that they sell sports merchandise at the various retail outlets, and there is the rock climbing activity that takes place at the center of the Kallang Wave Mall. A total of 3 walls to climb. One particular wall requires the experienced climbers to put on their hooks. There will be a partner pulling on the rope below to hoist up the climber.  It is close to the geylang river. Can view Marina Bay Sands from the sea side view, but it will be too far to venture. Had dinner at Issho Izakaya Japanese restaurant. It was a delightful experience with "exquisite" flavour. I like the Japanese tea because there is no need to prepare it like the one at Tea Chapter . Here is the restaurant and photos on the food.
